New Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express hits tracks
New Delhi (TAN): The Indian Railways has introduced another Rajdhani Express between Mumbai and Delhi, which was flagged off by Railways Minister Piyush Goyal on January 19 this year.
The third Rajdhani Express on this route, the train will connect Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai twice every week.
Starting its journey from Mumbai, the train will stop at Kalyan, Nasik, Jalgaon, Khandwa, Bhopal, Jhansi, and Agra Cantonment stations before arriving at Hazrat Nizamuddin station in Delhi.

Air India to operate new flights for Kumbh Mela
New Delhi (TAN): Air India has announced that it will operate new flights to Allahabad (Prayagraj) from several Indian cities in order to ease the rush of devotees during Kumbh Mela.
The new flights will be scheduled from Kolkata, Delhi, and Ahmedabad from January 13 to March 30 this year.

Jet to start three new flights
October 10 (TravelAndy): Jet Airways will introduce three new international services to its global network this winter, besides reinforcing six existing routes with additional flights.
The carrier will introduce its first non-stop service between New Delhi and Riyadh. It will also deploy additional flights on the Mumbai-Riyadh, Mumbai-Kuwait, Delhi-Doha and Delhi-Dammam sectors.
Effective October 29, 2017, new non-stop flights will commence connecting Bengaluru and Chennai to the airline’s gateways in Amsterdam and Paris as part of the carrier’s strategy to connect more cities, especially in South India to destinations in Europe and North America. Alliance Air to fly Delhi-Shimla from April 27
April 26 (TravelAndy): Air India’s subsidiary Alliance Air will operate a Delhi-Shimla-Delhi flight from April 27.
This initiative is taken to enhance tourist footfall in Shimla, the popular hill station in north India’s Himachal Pradesh state.
“On the Delhi-Shimla leg, we will carry 35 passengers while on the return only 15 passengers will be able to fly. The government will compensate for the loss with a Viability Gap Funding of about INR3,000 per seat,” Alliance Air CEO C.S. Subbiah told The Hindu. SpiceJet to fly Delhi-Bangkok direct
February 25 (TravelAndy): Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet will start direct flights between Delhi and Bangkok from April.
The airline now operates flights between the two capitals via Kolkata and Chennai.

IRCTC announces special tour on Diwali
October 22 (TravelAndy): Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is organising a special tour this Diwali.
A special tourist train will leave Madurai in India’s southern Tamil Nadu state, on October 25 at 00.05.

Indian Railways launches tiger circuit train
June 6 (TravelAndy): Indian Railways flagged off its first tiger circuit train from Delhi’s Safdargunj station yesterday.
“The train with a 5 days/6 nights itinerary will start from Delhi’s Sufdarjung railway station and travel via Katani, Jabalpur, Bandhavgadh, Kanha,” said the statement issued by Indian Railways.

Vistara to fly Delhi-Kolkata from June 10
May 21 (TravelAndy): Vistara, a Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines joint venture carrier, is set to start two Kolkata-Delhi flights every day from June 10, 2016.
The first will depart from Delhi at 7.20 and reach Kolkata at 9.30. The second daily flight will depart from Delhi at 17.55 and reach Kolkata at 20.10.
The return flights will leave Kolkata at 10.15 and 20.50 and reach Delhi at 12.50 and 23.15 respectively.
The flights will operate on all days of the week except Sundays.

Vistara set to connect Chandigarh
April 5 (TravelAndy): Vistara, the joint venture of Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, will start flight services to Chandigarh, from May 2, said reports.
The airline will operate daily flights to Chandigarh from Delhi and Hyderabad.

Jet Airways to fly Amsterdam from March 27
March 14 (TravelAndy): Jet Airways is all set to operate daily non-stop flight to Amsterdam from Delhi and Mumbai, from March 27.
The flight is scheduled to depart from Mumbai at 02.25 and arrive in Amsterdam at 08.15. On the return trip, the flight will leave Amsterdam at 11.20 and reach Mumbai at 23.55.

Delhi to develop eco tourism destination
December 2 (TravelAndy): The Garhi Mandu forest in Delhi is set to become an eco-tourism destination, said reports.
Delhi’s environment minister, Imran Hussain, along with senior officers of Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC), inspected the forest situated in the bank of river Yamuna in Wazirabad village, Delhi.
