SpiceJet to fly Delhi-Kochi non-stop
October 23 (TravelAndy): Indian low cost carrier SpiceJet has announced daily non-stop flights between Delhi and Kochi, commencing from November 19.

SpiceJet late-night flights from Nov 2
October 16 (TravelAndy): Indian low-cost airline SpiceJet has announced its first late-night domestic flight services.
The airline will operate the late night flights, known as red-eye flights, between Delhi-Bengaluru and Delhi- Nanded (Maharashtra) from November 2, said the airline.
In the Delhi-Bangalore segment, four flights a week will take off at 1am from Delhi and arrive at 3.40am in Bengaluru. Twice-a-week flights are scheduled to leave Delhi at 11.30pm and reach Nanded at 1.25am. Continue reading SpiceJet late-night flights from Nov 2
SpiceJet introduces EMI for tickets
July 24 (TravelAndy): Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet on Thursday introduced an equated monthly installment (EMI) scheme for passengers.
This scheme allows flyers to pay for their tickets any time within three to 12 months from the date of purchase.
Passengers holding credit cards issued by Axis Bank, HSBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Kotak bank can currently benefit from this scheme. The airline has assured to add other banks shortly. Continue reading SpiceJet introduces EMI for tickets
INR1 tickets on SpiceJet mobile app
July 15 (TravelAndy): Indian budget airline SpiceJet is offering 1 lakh one way tickets at INR1 for purchases made exclusively through their mobile app on iPhone and Android.
Booking is open till the midnight of July 17 for travel between July 15, 2015 and March 31, 2016.

Checked-in bags to stay free up to 15kg
July 9 (TravelAndy): India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has rejected a proposal by domestic airlines SpiceJet, IndiGo and AirAsia India to let them charge for check-in luggage, said reports.
The DGCA said such a fee could only be imposed on luggage that is in excess of 15kg.

SpiceJet increases ticket cancel fees
July 6 (TravelAndy): India-based budget airline SpiceJet has hiked booking cancellation charges for both domestic and international flights.
The cancellation charge for domestic flights has been raised to INR1,800 from INR1,500. For international flights, it is now INR 2,250, said the airline.
According to the latest revision, a passenger cancelling a ticket between two and 48 hours before take off has to pay INR 2,250, which is 50 per cent higher than earlier. A passenger cancelling between two and seven days will have to pay INR2,000, and someone cancelling seven to 30 days prior to travel will have to shell out INR 1,500. Travel light and save on SpiceJet
July 1 (TravelAndy): Indian low-cost airline SpiceJet has announced that it will offer discounts to passengers who travel light.
Passengers without check-in luggage will save INR200 on one-way flights and up to INR1,000 on return flights.

India: Railways tie up with airlines
June 11 (TravelAndy): Passengers on waiting list of Indian Railways could now choose to fly to their destinations by converting their train tickets into flight ones at a competitive rate.
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the Indian Railways subsidiary that handles the catering, tourism and online ticketing, recently signed a deal with GoAir to this effect. Talks are on to include SpiceJet in this scheme too.
This facility is applicable for passengers who book their tickets at least three days before their travel date. Such passengers, if wait-listed, will receive an email from IRCTC and can cancel their unconfirmed tickets to buy flight tickets for the date of travel or one day prior to it. SpiceJet offers fares from INR1299
June 2 (TravelAndy): India-based budget airline SpiceJet is offering one-way fares from INR1,299 on select routes till the midnight of June 4.
The sale is for the travel period between June 20 and July 31, 2015.

SpiceJet offers fares from INR1,010
May 19 (TravelAndy): India-based budget airline SpiceJet is offering all-inclusive fares starting from INR1,010 as part of it’s 10 year anniversary celebrations.
The three-day sale is on and will continue till the midnight of May 21 for the travel period from July 1 to October 15, the airline said.

SpiceJet extends sale, adds seats
May 1 (TravelAndy): India-based budget airline SpiceJet has extended the sale of it’s INR999 discounted tickets till May 3 and added one lakh more seats to the 1.5 lakh already on offer.
The company has also brought more travel days under this offer. Passengers flying from June 22 to October 15 can now benefit from the offer, the airline said.
The sale with fares starting from INR999 is available for all direct and connecting domestic flights of the airline for passengers without check-in luggage.
