VietJet flights between Seoul & Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island
December 29 (TravelAndy): VietJet started operations between Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island to South Korea’s capital Seoul on December 22 this year.
The airline operates daily between the Vietnamese island and Seoul. While flights from Phu Quoc leave at 3.40 pm and reach Seoul at 10.55 pm, local time, the return flights take off at 1.45 am from the South Korean capital and arrive at Phu Quoc at 5.35 am, local time.
VietJet offered souvenirs and flowers to passengers on the inaugural flights to Seoul and back. The airline is also running special promotions on the tickets to celebrate the new route. It has tied up with Phu Quoc’s Vinpearl Discovery resort, which will offer promotions between March 25 and November 30, 2019.

Vietjet to fly 14 Hanoi-Incheon return flights a week
June 5 (TravelAndy): In a bid to meet the rising travel demand, Vietjet is increasing its operation frequency on the Hanoi – Incheon route to 14 return flights a week. The increase will come into effect starting August 2, 2017.
Beginning July 21, 2017, the Hanoi – Taipei route will also enjoy a frequency of 11 round trips per week with flights available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Korean Air starts Delhi-Seoul direct flight
December 2 (TravelAndy): Korean Air has started a direct route between Seoul, the capital of South Korea and New Delhi, the capital of India, from December 1, 2016.
The flight will operate five days a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
The flight will depart Delhi at 19.30 and reach Seoul at 5.50, the next day. On its return, the flight will leave Seoul at 12.45 and arrive in Delhi at 18.20, said the airline. Continue reading Korean Air starts Delhi-Seoul direct flight

Budget airline Air Seoul to start flying from July 11
July 8 (TravelAndy): South Korea based Asiana Airline’s new low cost wing Air Seoul is slated to begin commercial operations from July 11.
After receiving the government sanction, Air Seoul announced its first flight from Gimpo International Airport to Jejudo Island in South Korea. It is scheduled to operate four flights a week.
The airline is expected to start it’s international operations from October, 2016, subjected to a few aviation approvals.
This is Asiana Airline’s second low cost carrier, the existing one being Air Busan.
Jeju Air starts daily South Korea-Taiwan flights
May 7 (TravelAndy): To boost tourism between South Korea and Taiwan, South Korean low-cost airline Jeju Air has launched daily flights between Incheon International Airport and Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport.

MERS worry for travel industry
June 21 (TravelAndy): The outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) is likely to have an effect on the travel industry in the Middle-East, apart from South Korea, China and Thailand.
According to latest reports, 169 people in South Korea and one person in China have been affected by the disease. Twenty-four patients have died.
