AirAsia X cleared to fly to USA
January 25 (Travelandy): AirAsia X, AirAsia’s long-haul, low-cost sister airline, has got clearance from the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) to fly to the US, the airline said in a statement.
The airline is the first Asian low-cost carrier to secure approval to operate scheduled passenger flights to the US.

GoAir offers tickets from INR611
November 5 (TravelAndy): Indian budget airline GoAir has announced one-way fares starting from INR611, which includes base fare and fuel surcharge, to celebrate its 11th anniversary.
SpiceJet offers ticket from INR888
October 5 (TravelAndy): Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet is offering discounts on its domestic and international flights.
On its domestic network, tickets starts from INR888 and on its international route, the lowest fare starts from INR3699, said the airline.

SpiceJet offers tickets from INR877
August 26 (TravelAndy): Indian budget carrier SpiceJet is offering discounts with one way all-inclusive tickets starting from INR877.
Booking under this scheme is open till August 27, midnight, for a travel period of August 25-September 30, 2016, said the airline.

Budget airline Air Seoul to start flying from July 11
July 8 (TravelAndy): South Korea based Asiana Airline’s new low cost wing Air Seoul is slated to begin commercial operations from July 11.
After receiving the government sanction, Air Seoul announced its first flight from Gimpo International Airport to Jejudo Island in South Korea. It is scheduled to operate four flights a week.
The airline is expected to start it’s international operations from October, 2016, subjected to a few aviation approvals.
This is Asiana Airline’s second low cost carrier, the existing one being Air Busan.
Wow Air launches Bristol-New York flight
July 4 (TravelAndy): Iceland’s budget airline Wow Air has launched a new route from Bristol in England to New York, via Iceland.
Tickets for this economy only route starts from GBP 119, said the airline.

NewLeaf to take off on July 25
June 23 (TravelAndy): Canadian low-cost carrier, NewLeaf today announced to start operations from July 25.
“Today, I am happy to announce that we are one again, as a re-seller of airline seats, are accepting customer bookings, and that we will be taking to the skies on July 25,” the company’s CEO Jim Young said at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport today. GoAir starts night flights to Port Blair
January 26 (TravelAndy): Indian low cost carrier GoAir has become the first domestic airline to operate night flights to Port Blair, said reports.
The airline rolled out a commercial charter flight to Port Blair from Bengaluru on January 22, which left Bengaluru at 11.15pm and reached Port Blair at1.50am the next day.

AirAsia discount for ICICI card holders
January 19 (TravelAndy): Low-cost carrier AirAsia has announced a 20 per cent discount on base fares, exclusively for ICICI bank credit and debit card holders.
The offer is valid for bookings on AirAsia India, AirAsia Berhad (Malaysia), Thai AirAsia and AirAsia X flights booked till January 31, 2016.

January 16 (TravelAndy): SpiceJet announced the launch of two flights connecting Jaipur and Hyderabad to Dubai, on Thursday.
The flights will be operational from February 16.

January 13 (TravelAndy): GoAir is all set to start flight services between Mumbai and Leh from March 27, said reports.

December 25 (TravelAndy): Air Pegasus has introduced discounted air fare starting from INR1999, to facilitate air travel during New Year.
The all inclusive one way price is applicable for flying into Bengaluru from Hubli, Thiruvananthapuram, Madurai, Mangalore, Chennai and Kadapa.
