Brussels Airlines to connect India from March ‘17
August 15 (TravelAndy): Belgium’s flagship carrier Brussels Airline has decided to connect India to Belgium, by launching direct flights between Brussels and Mumbai, India from March, 2017.
Five flights a week will operate between Mumbai and Brussels, said the airline.

Gulf Air to start Manama-Dhaka flight
April 28 (TravelAndy): Gulf Air has decided to start direct flight services between Bahrain’ capital city Manama and Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, from May 30, said reports.
The five-times-a week flight will depart from Manama either at 0100 or 2010 and reach Dhaka either at 0930 or 0440.

SAS to fly Copenhagen-Boston direct
March 30 (TravelAndy): Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has decided to launch the daily direct flight between Denmark’s Copenhagen and Boston in the US.
SAS becomes the first airline to operate direct flights from Scandinavia to Boston.

AirAsia to start Kochi-Bangkok direct flights
March 15 (TravelAndy): AirAsia has announced direct flights from Kochi, in India’s state of Kerala, to Bangkok.
The promotional offer starts from a one way all-inclusive fare of INR2999.

Indonesia plans direct flights to India
November 29 (TravelAndy): Indonesia is planning to start direct flights to India.
Garuda, Indonesia’s flagship carrier, is chalking out these flights from next year, said reports, quoting the country’s consul-general Saut Siringoringo.

SpiceJet offers tickets from INR749
October 28 (TravelAndy): Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet is offering festive discount on select domestic and international routes. Domestic fares start from INR749 and international fares from INR3,009.
The scheme is applicable on the Delhi-Amritsar and Mumbai-Ahmedabad routes on the airline’s domestic network. SpiceJet ticket from Chennai to Colombo start from INR3,999.

United Airlines resumes Belfast-NY flight
August 5 (TravelAndy): United Airlines has decided to restore year-round flight services between Belfast in Ireland and New York, from 2016.
This will mark the only direct air link between Northern Ireland and the US.

Hong Kong-Gold Coast direct flights from Jan
August 1 (TravelAndy): Hong Kong Airlines will start direct flights between Hong Kong and Australia’s Gold Coast from January 8, 2016. This will mark the airline’s first Australian destination.
Thrice-a-week flights will operate on the Hong Kong-Gold Coast route on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The return flight, which will have a stopover at Cairns, will fly on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Delhi-Toronto direct flight from Nov 1
July 21 (TravelAndy): Air Canada will begin non-stop flights between its hub in Toronto and New Delhi from November 1.
The airline will use its new Dreamliner aircraft on this route and plans to operate four flights a week initially.
