August 18 (TravelAndy): AirAsia is offering Kolkata to Bali one-way flights from INR5,999.
The budget airline claims to have the fastest connection on this route even though the flight includes a change at Kuala Lumpur.
The flight AK62 departs from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International airport in Kolkata at 00:45 and reaches the KLIA2 airport in the Malaysian capital at 07:10. First international flight from Odisha
April 26 (TravelAndy): The first international flight will land at and take off today from Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, capital of the east Indian state of Odisha.
“Odisha creates history today. The first direct international flight service commences with arrival of @AirAsia flight AK 31 from KUL to BBI,” Odisha Tourism tweeted through its official handle @odisha_tourism today.

AirAsia to fly Pontianak-Kuching direct from June 5
April 4 (TravelAndy): Budget airline AirAsia has announced to start a direct flight between Pontianak in Indonesia and Kuching in Malaysia from June 5, 2017.
This will mark the airline’s first direct flight route between Indonesia and Kuching.

Fly Bhubaneswar-Kuala Lumpur for INR999
February 24 (TravelAndy): AirAsia is offering an introductory all-in one-way fare of INR999 for its Bhubaneswar-Kuala Lumpur flight.
The offer is valid on tickets booked till March 5, 2017, for travel from April 26 to October 27, 2017, said the airline.

AirAsia India starts flights to Srinagar
February 19 (IBNS): The first AirAsia India flight touched down at Srinagar, capital of north India’s Jammu and Kashmir state, today.
The troubled mountainous state, which is a bone of contention between the nuclear-armed neighbours India and Pakistan, attracts thousands of domestic and international tourists with his incredible beauty — because of which it has often been referred to as “heaven on earth”.

AirAsia X cleared to fly to USA
January 25 (Travelandy): AirAsia X, AirAsia’s long-haul, low-cost sister airline, has got clearance from the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) to fly to the US, the airline said in a statement.
The airline is the first Asian low-cost carrier to secure approval to operate scheduled passenger flights to the US.

November 15 (TravelAndy): Indian low cost carrier AirAsia has announced an all-inclusive one way fare starting from INR799.
This offer can be availed till November 20, 2016, midnight, for a travel period of May 1, 2017 to February 6, 2018, said the airline.

AirAsia latest to ban Samsung Galaxy Note 7
October 16 (TravelAndy): AirAsia has become the latest in the list of airlines to ban Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on their flights.
The prohibition from today midnight applies to all flights operated by the AirAsia India, AirAsia Malaysia, AirAsia Thailand, AirAsia Indonesia, AirAsia Philippines, Malaysia AirAsia X, Thai AirAsia X and Indonesia AirAsia X.

October 3 (TravelAndy): AirAsia India announced a discount offer on its domestic network, with one way fares starting from INR899.
The airline is offering the lowest fare on the Guwahati-Imphal route.

Budget airlines increase excess baggage fees
July 23 (TravelAndy): India’s low cost airlines GoAir, Indigo and AirAsia India have increased excess baggage fees, following a government directive to rationalise excess baggage, said reports.
Passengers travelling in these three airlines will have to pay INR300 for every kilogram of luggage in excess of 20kg, confirmed the websites of the airlines. Earlier, this charge was INR250.
At present, all domestic carriers, except Air India, allow a free check-in luggage of 15kg.
India’s flagship carrier Air India allows passengers to carry 25kg of free check-in luggage.
AirAsia India offers discounted tickets
May 17 (TravelAndy): AirAsia India has announced a 50% discount on air fares on domestic and select foreign routes, effective on booking done within May 18, midnight.
The discount will be valid for a travel period of August 1 to November 30, 2016.
