As a part of South Africa’s ‘Made for India in South Africa’ campaign, 50 off-beat destinations in South Africa will be promoted for the first time in India.

Access to adventure activities in Monkeyland, Birds of Eden and Jukani will be given all year round for Indians. Earlier, these places offered seasonal access.

In order to provide hassle-free travel to Indians, simplification in visa processing is being constantly implemented, said David Frost, CEO of South Africa Tourism Services Association.

“The number of tourists from India had gone up past the one-lakh mark in 2009 but slipped for couple of years. We hope to see the number going up in 2016,” Hanneli Slabber, country manager, South African Tourism, said.
