New cheap sleep site turns heads

Screen Shot 2015-05-12 at 15.17.51May 12 (TravelAndy): Hovelstay, a new accommodation booking website, which is increasingly being referred to as the rebel alternative to Airbnb, is offering sleeping options that backpackers and shoestring travellers will find helpful.

The website has three sections – Survivor Hovels, Good Enough and Clean & Comfortable.

Everything from hammocks, sheds, barns, attics and treehouses are on hire and crash pads are available for as low as USD4 a night. “We list hovels of nearly every type – some of them even with a foundation and walls!” says the website.

“From a hammock in Costa Rica, to a apartment in Hong Kong, we’re now there for everyone,” says Hovelstay co-founder Michael Bolger.
