August 19 (TravelAndy): India’s Karnataka state is all set to develop its Uttar Kannada district as an adventure tourism destination, said The Times of India.
The state has plans to start water sports including rafting, kayaking, coracle ride, jacuzzi, water scooter, banana boats, para-motor, para-sailing and hand gliding in Kali river in Uttara Kannada district.
Adjacent to India’s beach state, Uttar Kannada in Karnataka has 24 beaches, which are also being developed to attract moiré tourists, said R V Deshpande, Uttar Kannada district minister.
The water sport development in this district is included under Government of India’s tourism program ‘Swadesh darshan’ .
