June 21 (TravelAndy): UAE’s decision to issue free transit visas is generating a lot of interest among tourists.

The UAE government has waived transit flyers from all entry fees for the first two days.

The fliers can choose to extend their stay by up to four days by paying a nominal AED50, Gulf News reported.

According to the latest move, transit passengers will be allowed to step outside the airport.

However, only those with a confirmed onward journey or ticket and hotel reservations are eligible for a short-term transit visa, the report added.
