Chennai airport resumes services

December 7 (TravelAndy): Chennai airport resumed its commercial flight services from today, said reports.

All commercial flight services were suspended to and from Chennai airport on December 2, following extreme flood conditions in Chennai.

The airlines that have operated to and from Chennai airport today include Air India, TruJet and Jet Airways.

Several tourists who were stranded in Chennai could fly out of the city.

After a halt of four days, train services have also resumed in Chennai. Most of the trains are expected to be back on schedule from today from both Chennai Central and Egmore terminals.
