SpiceJet to fly Delhi-Bangkok direct
February 25 (TravelAndy): Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet will start direct flights between Delhi and Bangkok from April.
The airline now operates flights between the two capitals via Kolkata and Chennai.

AirAsia X cleared to fly to USA
January 25 (Travelandy): AirAsia X, AirAsia’s long-haul, low-cost sister airline, has got clearance from the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) to fly to the US, the airline said in a statement.
The airline is the first Asian low-cost carrier to secure approval to operate scheduled passenger flights to the US.

IndiGo extends INR799 sale till Dec 10
December 8 (TravelAndy): Indian low-cost airline IndiGo has extended its INR799 sale till December 10.
The airline is offering all-inclusive fares starting from INR799 on select routes for travel between December 20, 2016 and October 28, 2017.

IndiGo offers tickets from INR799
December 7 (TravelAndy): Indian low cost carrier, IndiGo has announced a discount on all-inclusive one way tickets on its domestic network, with fares starting from INR799.
Tickets under this scheme can be booked till December 8, 2016, midnight, for a travel period of December 20, 2016 to October 28, 2017, said the airline.

IndiGo to fly Chandigarh-Dubai from Sept 26
August 4 (TravelAndy): Indian low-cost airline Indigo is set to start a new international route between north India’s Chandigarh city and Dubai, from September 26.
Daily non-stop flights will operate on this route. Incidentally, this wil be the first international flight to operate from Chandigarh airport.

New airline plans UK-India direct flights
June 27 (TravelAndy): UK-based low-cost airline POP, short for People Over Profit (because it intends to donate the majority of its profits to charity), intends to start non-stop flights from Stansted Airport in the UK to the Indian cities of Amritsar and Ahmedabad.
At present, non-stop flight from UK fly only to the Indian cities of Mumbai and Delhi.

SpiceJet offers tickets at INR444
June 24 (TravelAndy): India’s low cost airline, SpiceJet has recently announced a discount offer on their domestic route, with one way base fares starting from INR444.
The offer is valid till June 26, 2016, midnight, for a travel period of July 1 to September 30, 2016, said the airline’s website.
The lowest fare of INR444 is applicable on routes including Jammu-Srinagar, Ahmedabad-Mumbai, Mumbai-Goa, Delhi-Dehradun and Delhi-Amritsar, confirmed the airline. Continue reading SpiceJet offers tickets at INR444
GoAir eyes international routes
June 12 (TravelAndy): Fliers from India could soon have an additional low-cost airline to choose from when flying to international destinations with GoAir intending to start international operations.
Newleaf to charge for carry-on
January 6 (TravelAndy): Canada-based budget airline Newleaf, which starts flying on February 12, will charge for carry-on luggage.
The airline is not going on third party online booking sites in order to keep costs down. It will sell tickets through its own site — Flynewleaf.ca.

December 28 (TravelAndy): India-based low-cost carrier SpiceJet today announced a sale with one way base fares starting from INR716 on some of its popular domestic routes.
Tickets can be booked from December 28 to December 31 midnight. This offer is applicable for a travel period of January 15 to April 12, 2016.

SpiceJet offers tickets from INR749
October 28 (TravelAndy): Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet is offering festive discount on select domestic and international routes. Domestic fares start from INR749 and international fares from INR3,009.
The scheme is applicable on the Delhi-Amritsar and Mumbai-Ahmedabad routes on the airline’s domestic network. SpiceJet ticket from Chennai to Colombo start from INR3,999.

Spring Airlines to fly Changchun-Bangkok
October 12 (TravelAndy): China-based low-cost Spring Airlines is set to start direct flights between Changchun city, the capital of Jilin province, and Bangkok, said reports.
Four flights a week will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, the airline said.
