August 21 (TravelAndy): Indonesia AirAsia will start flights from Kolkata to Bali from October 2, 2017, the airline has said.

Air Asia to offer tickets from INR1099
March 6 (TravelAndy): Air Asia is all set to offer tickets at all-inclusive discounted one way fare starting from INR1099, on select domestic routes.
Tickets can be booked from March 7 to March 13, for a travel period of October 1, 2016 to May 22, 2017.

AirAsia discount for ICICI card holders
January 19 (TravelAndy): Low-cost carrier AirAsia has announced a 20 per cent discount on base fares, exclusively for ICICI bank credit and debit card holders.
The offer is valid for bookings on AirAsia India, AirAsia Berhad (Malaysia), Thai AirAsia and AirAsia X flights booked till January 31, 2016.

AirAsia to fly Bhubaneswar-Kuala Lumpur
September 16 (TravelAndy): AirAsia is set to start direct flights between Bhubaneswar in Odisha, India, to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, said reports.
This will mark the first direct international flight from the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.

Air Asia fares from INR990
August 10 (TravelAndy): Budget airline Air Asia announced on Monday that it had achieved the milestone of having flown 300 million passengers and said it was offering fares from INR990 to celebrate the occasion.
Air Asia India itself has flown one million passengers, said reports.

Air Asia offers cheap fares from Bengaluru
June 24 (TravelAndy): Budget carrier Air Asia has announced discounted all-inclusive one way fares on flights from Bengaluru to Kochi, Goa, Pune, Visakhapatanam, Jaipur, Chandigarh and New Delhi.
While fares to Kochi start from INR799, those to Goa, Pune and Visakhapatanam start from INR999.

Air Asia to fly Kuala Lumpur-Goa
June 4 (TravelAndy): In what could be a major boost to tourism in Goa, Air Asia has announced to start flights between the Indian beach haven and Kuala Lumpur.
The low-cost carrier will operate three flights a week on this route from August 27, the airline has announced.

Air Asia starts flights from Delhi
May 21 (TravelAndy): Low cost airline Air Asia began operations from New Delhi on Thursday.
New Delhi will be the airline’s base in the North Indian market. The carrier will now fly from New Delhi to Bengaluru, Guwahati and Goa.

Air Asia’s new Johor Bahru-Bangkok flight
May 21 (TravelAndy): Low-cost carrier Air Asia will start operating on the Johor Bahru to Bangkok route from July 17.
Booking opened for the new route on May 18 and for bookings made till May 24, the airline is offering all-inclusive fares from MYR69 for travel between July 17 and May 31, 2016, Air Asia said in a statement.

Air Asia discount on Vizag-KL route
May 9 (TravelAndy): Air Asia is offering an inaugural discount to passengers flying from Vizag to Kuala Lumpur.
The airline flagged off its first direct flight to Malayasian capital from the Indian port city on Friday. Air Asia had announced the new route in March.
Flyers can now buy all-inclusive fares from Rs 3,399 for this route till May 17, applicable for travel from May 10 to September 30.
This fare is available on airasia.com, along with the Air Asia iPhone and android apps.
“We are excited to launch the seventh direct flight out of India to Kuala Lumpur from Visakhapatnam,” Spencer Lee, head of commercial for Malaysia-headquartered AirAsia Berhad, reportedly said.
Apart from Vizag, Air Asia now has direct flights to Kuala Lumpur from Kolkata, Chennai, Trichy, Bengaluru, Kochi and Hyderabad.
Cheap flights for Malaysia students
May 6 (TravelAndy): Over 6,50,000 students and staff of 20 public universities in Malaysia will shortly be able to travel more economically as part of an Air Asia program.
The airline recently signed a memorandum of agreement with 20 public higher learning institutions, providing access to its Waran Perjalanan Udara Awam service, which was previously limited to civil servants only.
This program allows passengers benefits such as flexible flight booking and flight change, complimentary baggage allotment up to 40kg, in-flight meals, seat selection with waived service counter fees.
With AirAsia’s wide domestic network, the programme intends to ease “travel plans for students and staff of the public universities” Aireen Omar, Air Asia’s chief executive officer was quoted as saying. He said the travellers will also be covered by Tune Insurance AirAsia Travel Protection plan.
