Paperless travel on Chennai suburban trains

June 20 (TravelAndy): Chennai has become to first city in India to introduce paperless travel on its suburban trains.

Travellers having the utsonmobile app on their smart phones can book unreserved tickets for any destination in Chennai or its suburbs including Gummidipoondi, Tiruvallur, Velachery and Chengalpattu.

Passengers using the app will not require any hard copy of the ticket but can show their mobile tickets to the checker.

This is part of Indian Railways’ efforts to make unreserved ticket booking hassle-free.
