Mumbai heritage tours in August

July 26 (TravelAndy): In order to attract more tourists during the monsoon season, India’s Maharashtra state is about to start ‘Mumbai Darshan’ tours in the state capital.

 The tour will be organised by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), which will cover the heritage spots and popular tourist sites in the city of Mumbai. An air-conditioned bus will ferry tourist across the city, on all the Saturdays and Sundays of August.
The tour will commence on August 7, 2016 and will be available on Aug 13Aug 14Aug 20, Aug 21Aug 27 and Aug 28, said the MTDC official website.

The tour will be conducted along two routes. The first trip will be start from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) and cover places including the major highlights like Bhaudaji Lad museum, Siddhivinayak Temple, Bandra Band Stand, Nehru Science Centre, Mani Bhavan, Taraporewala Aquarium, Gateway of India and then return to CST.

The second trip will begin from Dadar (East) and continue further stopping at places similar to the first trip and then drop visitors back to the pickup location.

The ticket for the trip is priced at INR490 (excluding service tax) per person and it is free of cost for children below 3 years.
