Mumbai heritage tours in August
July 26 (TravelAndy): In order to attract more tourists during the monsoon season, India’s Maharashtra state is about to start ‘Mumbai Darshan’ tours in the state capital.
The tour will be organised by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), which will cover the heritage spots and popular tourist sites in the city of Mumbai. An air-conditioned bus will ferry tourist across the city, on all the Saturdays and Sundays of August.
The tour will commence on August 7, 2016 and will be available on Aug 13, Aug 14, Aug 20, Aug 21, Aug 27 and Aug 28, said the MTDC official website.
Heat & drought hits Maharashtra tourism
April 30 (TravelAndy): The ongoing heat spell in India’s Maharashtra state, has led to decline in tourism, said The Times of India (TOI).
Maharashtra’s second largest city, Pune is facing a significant dip in tourist arrival, with various travel operators reporting cancellation of summer trips to the city.
