Micromax invests in travel app

June 22 (TravelAndy): Mobile phone maker Micromax has invested in ixigo, a mobile travel search and marketplace.

According to reports, Micromax has picked up a significant minority stake.

“We look forward to working closely with them (ixigo) to build on-demand and one-click travel experiences for Micromax consumers,” reports quoted Rahul Sharma, co-founder, Micromax Informatics, as saying.

“We will be announcing more such partnerships over the next few months to accelerate our journey into services,” he added.
