Indian Railways plans one-stop travel shop

June 28 (TravelAndy): Indian Railways has announced to open a single-window solution to all travel-related issues for customers, reports said.

This facility will come up at Connaught Place in New Delhi.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the Indian Railways subsidiary that handles the catering, tourism and online ticketing, said the facility would take care of all rail, land transport, air tour packages for both domestic and international travellers.

The centre will also provide assistance related to travel route planning, visa services and concierge services.

“This will be the first-of-its-kind initiative anywhere in the country, where the entire travel needs are taken care of under one roof,” reports quoted IRCTC chairman and managing director A.K. Manocha as saying.
