Glass roof train on Vizag-Araku route

rp_Logo-R1-square-bg-300x30011.jpgApril 18 (TravelAndy): To delight passengers travelling from Vishakhapatnam to Araku Valley in India’s Andhra Pradesh state, Indian Railways launched a special glass top coach, which will provide panoramic view of the route.

Known as Vistadome, this air-conditioned coach attached  to the Visakhapatnam-Kirandul passenger train, claims to be a first-of-its-kind in Indian Railways.

It has glass top and glass window, providing 360 degree see-through view of the 128 km journey to the scenic Araku valley.

The360 degree recliner seats are specially designed to facilitate better sight-seeing for the passengers.

Tourists can now enjoy the breathtaking view of Lambasingi, Borra caves and the tunnels along the route from the Vistadome coach, the railways said in a statement.
