April 10 (TravelAndy): Asia’s largest tulip garden is on in the north Indian valley of Kashmir.
Apart from displaying a large variety of tulips, the 15-day festival will also demonstrate the Kashmiri cuisine, art, craft and literature, said reports.
The festival began on April 1 and will conclude on April 15, 2017.
The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip garden, previously called Siraj Bagh, was inaugurated in 2008.
The garden, spreading over 30 hectares in the foothills of snow-clad Zabarwan range, has 20 lakh tulips of 46 varieties.
Often referred to as “Heaven on Earth”, the beautiful valley of Kashmir attracts thousands of tourists from India and abroad every year.
