India: Scrapping INR500, 1000 notes hit tourism
November 13 (TravelAndy): The recent scrapping of INR500 and INR1000 notes by the Indian government has hit the tourism sector hard.
According to a report in The Hindu newapaper, several bookings to Dehradun in Uttarakhand state in north India were cancelled this weekend due to lack of cash in ATMs, said hotel owners.

Novemeber 17 (TravelAndy): Tourism has been severely affected due to the recent terror attack in the city of Paris.
Tourists from Asian countries are cancelling their Paris flights post the attack, said reports.

Volcanic eruption hits tourists in Bali
November 6 (TravelAndy): Thousands of tourists are stranded in Bali following a volcanic eruption.
Bali’s Denpasar airport had been closed on Tuesday after a volcano in the nearby Lombok island began erupting. Though the airport authorities reopened the airport yesterday, airlines said it was still not safe to fly, said latest reports.
