Rafting competition to boost Nepal tourism

Logo squareNovember 27 (TravelAndy): Nepal is hosting the ’14th Himalayan White Water Challenge’ rafting competition on its Trishuli river from November 27, to promote adventure tourism in the country, said reports.

Five hundred participants from Nepal and 20 foreign countries including Australia, Canada, America, Germany, Norway, China and India will participate in this three-day competition to be organised by Nepal Association of Rafting Agents (NARA).

Fisling and Kurintar of the Trishuli river in  Nepal’s Chitwan will be the designated route for the rafting competition.

It is an attempt to show case Nepal as a safe destination for rafting, post the disastrous April earthquake.

Some of the world’s most suitable rafting rivers, including Bhotekoshi, Sunkoshi and Karnali, are  in Nepal.
