Plan on to bring Mysuru back on air map
June 18 (TravelAndy): The South Indian state of Karnataka has inked a deal with the country’s flagship airline Air India to get Mysuru back on the air map of India and boost tourism.
Mysuru, which is the new name of Mysore, is known as India’s Palace City. It’s most popular tourist attractions are Mysore Palace, the tomb of Tipu Sultan, Brindavan Garden, Mysore Zoo and Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary, which is situated by the Cauvery river.
Shivanasamudra Falls, the second-largest in India, is also situated near the city.
Mysuru is one the oldest cities in India.
Budget airline SpiceJet used to fly from here but stopped operations last year.
