May 5 (TravelAndy): To revive tourism along the Indo-Nepal border, a three-day Himalayan festival is all set to begin in Nepal’s Lamjung district, today, said The Himalayan Times.
Ghalegaun, a 700-year-old Himalayan village in Nepal’s Lamjung district, will play host to the tourism festival.
The event will feature Gurung cultural dances and musical entertainment programmes, among other attractions.
The devastating earth-quake in April, 2015, had stalled tourism in almost all Himalayan destinations along the India-Nepal border, including Ghalegaun.
