Batik Air to start three India-Indonesia flights

July 3 (TravelAndy): Indonesian airline Batik Air, a subsidiary of Lion Air, will launch three new flights from Indonesia to India in this month, media reports said.

The flights will operate on Chennai-Kuala Namu, New Delhi-Jakarta and Mumbai-Denpasar routes. (Also read: Indonesia (Bali) visa for Indians)

The New Delhi-Jakarta flight will mark the first direct air connectivity between the two capital cities.

Batik Air CEO Achmad Luthfi said that they had received the slots and expect to start operations this month.
