b (1)April 25 (TravelAndy): Mobile application Headout has raised USD1.8 million in seed funding to work out its expansion plans, said Tech Crunch.

Headout is a travel app that acts as a mobile concierge and helps you find activities, tour and tickets to events in select cities in the US.

It aims to connect consumers with experiences ranging from theatre tickets to dinner cruises and helicopter rides with just a few clicks.

“We knew there are a lot of folks like us who do not pre-book their holiday activities and an app meant to do just that in the easiest way possible sounded like an exciting idea to work on,” the report quotes Headout co-founder and CEO Varun Khona and saying.

According to the report, the firm initially began operating in Bangalore as Tourlandish focussing on travel to and from Asia, but later shut down and relaunched in New York.

It launched in Las Vegas six months later and now looks to expand to Los Angeles, Miami, Washington DC, San Francisco, Chicago and other cities over the next few months.
