Camiguin, Philippines (TAN): Camiguin island, one of Philippines’ top tourism destinations, has launched another attraction for both outdoor enthusiasts and mountain trekkers.
Camiguin’s chain of volcanoes, especially Mount Hibok-Hibok, will be on the radar of adventure seekers as the provincial government, the department of tourism-10, and the department of environment and natural resources-10 launched “Climb Camiguin” on Saturday, March 23.

J&K organises ‘Climbathon’ in Kargil
August 28 (TravelAndy): In a venture to promote adventure tourism, India’s Jammu and Kashmir state has recently organised a trekking program in the state’s Kargil region, said reports.
A total of 40 national and international trekkers participated in the climbathon, which took place in Nun Kun Massif summit located in Kargil’s Suru valley.

Tourists return to Nepal’s Khumbu
October 17 (TravelAndy): Tourism activities in Nepal’s popular Khumbu region have started to recover after being badly hit by the devastating earthquake of April 25, said a report in Kathmandu Post.
The roads that were damaged in the earthquake are being reconstructed.

15 set off to conquer Mt Needle & Pinnacle
September 18 (TravelAndy): In an attempt to promote adventure tourism in the region. the Jammu and Kashmir state government flagged off an expedition to Mount White Needle (6,600 meters) and Mount Pinnacle (6,950 meters) on Thursday.
Both the peaks are situated in the Nun-Kun massif of Kargil district in the troubled northern Indian state.

Flash flood hits Leh tourism
August 7 (TravelAndy): A flash flood in the pristine Leh district of India has hit tourism.
Twenty-three British trekkers, who were stranded in Leh because of the flash flood, have been rescued, said reports.
At the moment, the tourist season is at its peak in Leh, which attracts a large number of visitors from across the country and abroad.
