AP to host nine tourism festivals in 2016
December 21 (TravelAndy): India’s state of Andhra Pradesh is planning a series of festival in 2016, in order to attract more tourists to the state.
A total of nine tourism festivals are on the cards, reported the The Times of India.
These include Buddha Jayanthi festival at Amaravathi and Nagarjuna Konda, Flamingo festival at Nellore, Lepakshi festival at Ananthapur, Rayalaseema food and cultural festival at Tirupati, Visakha Utsav in Vizag, Kakinada Beach festival, shopping festival at Vijayawada, Konaseemaprabalu festival in East Godavari district and tribal festival in Araku, confirmed the tourism department of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra plans monastery boulevard
July 31 (TravelAndy): In an attempt to attract international tourists to its state capital Amaravati, Indian state Andhra Pradesh is planning to set up a monastery boulevard similar to Bihar’s Bodh Gaya, said reports.
Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu discussed the setting up of monastery boulevard in a meeting held on Tuesday.
