Andhra Pradesh to start helicopter service in Tirupati
December 3 (TravelAndy): India’s Andhra Pradesh state is planning to introduce helicopter rides for tourists visiting the pilgrimage town Tirupati, said The Hindu.
The price for approximately 7-10 minutes ride is yet to be announced.

Helicopter tourism plan for Kodaikanal
August 23 (TravelAndy): In order to draw more tourists, the Kodaikanal hill town, in India’s Tamil Nadu state, is gearing up to start its first Helicopter services for tourists, said reports.
A site has been identified by the state government near Vilpatti in Kodaikanal for the purpose. Facilities and feasibility options are presently being reviewed.

Helicopter tourism in Vizag from October
July 25 (TravelAndy): India’s port city Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh state is set to start helicopter-l tourism from October, said The New Indian Express.
Vuda park in Vishakhapatnam has been identified as the helipad site as well as ticket booking centre.

Karnataka: Copter-tourism on the cards
January 24 (TravelAndy): In a bid to attract international tourists, Karnataka is planning to launch helicopter tours for its visitors, TOI said.
The state government of Karnataka has already identified certain tourism circuits that have poor transport connectivity. These include Coastal, Heritage and Malnad circuits comprising major tourist and pilgrimage centres.
“With the increase in foreign and domestic tourists to Karnataka every year and analyzing the age and income profiles of tourists, there’s immense potential for helicopter tourism. With improvement in connectivity, we hope to see a rise in their visits,” Pradeep Singh Kharola, additional chief secretary of the tourism department told TOI.
