March 22 (TravelAndy): India’s Rajasthan state authorities are planning to throw open Ranthambhore National Park for visitors 24X7, said reports.

At present, the forest remains open for tourists six hours every day — three hours each in the morning and evening — between October and June.

If the plan materializes, tourists will be able to take day and night tiger safaris inside the forest. The months of visit will remain unchanged.

However, this proposal is still waiting for a go-ahead from the apex court of India. It is already facing oppositions from wildlife activists who reportedly claim that such initiatives would violate the norms of National Tiger Conservation Authority.

“All legal and financial aspects are being looked into before its implementation,” said Rajasthan’s forest and environment minister Rajkumar Rinwa.
