Paytm to enter travel market

Logo squareJanuary 15 (TravelAndy): Mobile payment service Paytm is all set to enter the travel market, to provide a one point solution to a range of travel requirements.

The company aims at providing travellers with services including cab rides, bus, train and air tickets, hotel bookings, visa facilitation , foreign exchange and international mobile phone cards.

“We are looking to build the largest marketplace for travel in India. A person planning a holiday will not have to look anywhere else for any travel needs,” Abhishek Ranjan, vice-president, Paytm said.

Initially, Paytm plans to launch their travel services on their existing website and mobile app.

With this initiative, Paytm will become the first e-commerce company to enter the full fledged travel platform.
