Less walking for Mansarovar pilgrims

Logo squareFebruary 6 (TravelAndy): A Jeep service has been introduced for the 82km stretch between Garbyang and Nabhidang for pilgrims heading to Mansarovar, TOI said.

Introduction of four Jeeps would be decrease the walking distance by 27Km each way.

“We have got four Thar vehicles as per the decision by the state government of  and had already sent a letter to the Union ministry of external affairs requesting airlifng of the vehicles from Dharchula to Garbyang, ” Trilok Singh Martolia, an official told TOI.

The 2016 routes, like last year, will be through Lipulekh pass in Uttarakhand and Nathu La in Sikkim.
