Closest City and Airport to the Grand Canyon

Phoenix and Vegas are the closest cities to the Grand Canyon. Phoenix is nearest to the Canyon and also features an international airport. Las Vegas is also close to the Canyon, and you need a mere one-and-a-half-hour drive to take you to Vegas. Flagstaff in Arizona is also quite close to the Grand Canyon. Flagstaff poses as a functional base camp area and also features a small airport. 

Are Dogs Allowed on the Grand Canyon Tour?

You can travel with your dogs on the Grand Canyon tour along the North and South rim. They must always be leashed. There are kennels available for larger dogs. Unleashed pets are not permitted to roam about at any place in the Grand Canyon.

Planning a Trip to the USA
