Air India allows 25kg free luggage
August 12 (TravelAndy): Air India is allowing up to 25 Kg free check-in luggage for economy class travel in its domestic network.
This is a limited period allowance which is valid for a travel period of August 12 to February 7, 2016.

Baggage breather for budget fliers
June 28 (TravelAndy): The Indian government on Saturday rejected a proposal by budget airlines operating in the country to charge for checked-in baggage.
Passengers are now allowed to carry check-in luggage of up to 15kg for free.
“We have got the proposal from low-cost flights to charge for check-in baggage. We have rejected it and there will be no consideration at the Aviation Ministry level.
