Vienna through the eyes of four eagles
August 5 (Notintown.net): Even as four eagles fitted with cameras have been circling over Vienna capturing breathtaking images of the Austrian capital, on the ground the city has hosted 7.2 million travellers in January-June 2018 – a 4.1 per cent increase in tourist arrivals over the same period last year.
There was a 4.3 per cent rise in Indian tourists to Vienna this year with 66,828 bed nights clocked by them in the first six months. India is one of the high growth tourist markets for Vienna along with China and Russia.

Vienna woos young Indian tourists
February 13 (NotinTown.net): The Austrian capital Vienna, known for its imperial history, beautiful gardens, and magnificent palaces, received a record number of travellers from India in 2016, contributing to 115,531 overnight stays, a 28 per cent increase from 2015.
Home to legendary composers like Mozart and Beethoven, this smart metropolis with an incredible musical heritage attracted a host of music lovers, families, honeymooners and conference attendees from India during the year, said the Vienna Tourist Board. Air India to fly Delhi-Vienna from April 6
February 26 (TravelAndy): India’s flagship carrier Air India is set to start direct flights between Delhi and Vienna from April 6.
This non-stop flight will operate thrice week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
