October 16 (TravelAndy): Indian low-cost airline SpiceJet has announced its first late-night domestic flight services.
The airline will operate the late night flights, known as red-eye flights, between Delhi-Bengaluru and Delhi- Nanded (Maharashtra) from November 2, said the airline.
In the Delhi-Bangalore segment, four flights a week will take off at 1am from Delhi and arrive at 3.40am in Bengaluru. Twice-a-week flights are scheduled to leave Delhi at 11.30pm and reach Nanded at 1.25am.
SpiceJet plans to launch six more late night flights this winter, in order to facilitate 24X7 connectivity in the domestic network, reports quoted Ajay Jasra, SpiceJet general manager for corporate affairs, as saying.
With this, SpiceJet becomes the third airline to operate domestic late night flights in India. The other two carriers offering similar services are Jet Airways and Indigo.
