December 15 (TravelAndy): Air India resumed operations between Ahmedabad and London today after seven years.
The flight will initially go via Mumbai. It is expected to become a non-stop service by mid January, Air India executive director of corporate affairs Anil Mehta told the media.
The flight departed Ahmedabad at 4.30 am today and reached Mumbai at 5.45 am. It left Mumbai at 7.05 am and reached London at 11.39am on the same day.
The return flight will take off from London at 1.30pm and reach Mumbai at4.30am the next day. Thereafter, it will leave Mumbai at 5.30am and reach Ahmedabad at 6.45am.
The flight service between Ahmedabad and London was stopped in 2008. It resumed today after seven years.
