Etihad Airways to fly Boeing 787 Dreamliner to Hong Kong
Abu Dhabi (TAN): Etihad Airways has announced it will operate the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Hong Kong on its daily services, from March 31 this year.
Airbus A320-200, that presently flies between Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong daily, will be replaced by the Boeing aircraft.
According to the schedule, flights from Abu Dhabi will take off at 22.05 hours daily, and reach Hong Kong at 10.05 hours, local time, while the ones in the opposite direction will leave Hong Kong at 19.05 hours daily, and land in Abu Dhabi at 23.25 hours, local time.

Etihad Airways to introduce Boeing 787 Dreamliner to Barcelona
December 22 (TravelAndy): Etihad Airways will introduce the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on its scheduled services from Abu Dhabi to Barcelona, effective from Feb 22, 2019, replacing the Airbus A330-200 currently operating the recently launched route.
The deployment of the larger 787 Dreamliner to Barcelona has been timed to coincide with the Mobile World Conference taking place in the city from 25-28 February, during which Etihad Airways will provide daily flights. The airline will increase frequency to a permanent daily operation from 31 March.
The service will feature Etihad Airways’ next-generation Business and Economy cabins, configured with 299 seats – 28 Business Studios and 271 Economy Smart Seats – a capacity increase of six seats in Business and 31 in Economy in each direction, and an increase in belly-hold cargo capacity of four tonnes.

Etihad Airways launches inaugural flight to Barcelona
December 7 (NITN): Etihad Airways has launched its first ever scheduled flights linking Abu Dhabi and Barcelona.
The inaugural flight, EY49, departed Abu Dhabi earlier this week carrying a special delegation including dignitaries, media representatives, influencers and senior members of Etihad Airways’ management team.
The UAE national airline is celebrating the occasion in style by hosting a special event held at the historic Capella dels Angels, a sixteenth-century Gothic building which is now part of the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), attended by leading figures from the local government, diplomats, media, corporate partners and travel trade.
Tony Douglas, Group Chief Executive Officer Etihad Aviation Group, said: “We have been tremendously excited about the launch of this service and what better time to arrive here than the month Etihad celebrates its 15th anniversary.

Free UAE transit visa cheer for flyers
June 21 (TravelAndy): UAE’s decision to issue free transit visas is generating a lot of interest among tourists.
The UAE government has waived transit flyers from all entry fees for the first two days.
The fliers can choose to extend their stay by up to four days by paying a nominal AED50, Gulf News reported.

Storm hits flight services in Abu Dhabi
March 9 (TravelAndy): Flight services have been affected at Abu Dhabi International Airport in the wake of a storm that hit the UAE capital on Wednesday.
Around midday, Abu Dhabi International Airport tweeted: “Due to severe weather conditions, flights at Abu Dhabi International Airport are suspended until further notice.”

Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA) is offering customised tour packages for Indians.

Etihad starts Abu Dhabi-Edinburgh flight
June 15 (TravelAndy): UAE-based Etihad Airways has launched a daily flight between Abu Dhabi and the Scottish capital of Edinburgh.
Edinburgh is Etihad’s third flying destination in the UK after Heathrow in London and Manchester. The flight to Abu Dhabi will have 22 business class and 240 economy class seats, the airline said in a statement.
