Norwegian to fly London-Singapore from Sep 28

rp_norwegian-300x289.jpgApril 27 (TravelAndy): Budget airline Norwegian will start flights between London and Singapore from September 28, 2017, the airline said.

With this, the airline’s growing low-cost long-haul network expands to Asia.

Norwegian will operate four weekly flights, increasing to five in the winter, from London’s Gatwick to Singapore’s Changi Airport.

“Our transatlantic flights have shown the huge demand for affordable long-haul travel, so we are delighted to expand into new markets and offer our first route to Asia from the UK,” said Bjorn Kjos, chief executive officer of Norwegian.

The London-Singapore flight will be operated by the airline’s UK subsidiary Norwegian UK, which was established in 2015.

Tickets are on sale with one way fares starting from EUR179.

Norwegian’s long-haul flights currently operate between Gatwick and several destinations in the US.
